The Lord Is Near To Those Who Have A Broken Heart, And Saves Such As Have A Contrite Spirit ~ Psalm 34:18.  The Sacrifices Of God Are A Broken Spirit, A Broken And A Contrite Heart - These, O God, You Will Not Despise ~ Psalm 51:17.  "As The Heavens Are Higher Than The Earth, So Are My Ways Higher Than Your Ways And My Thoughts Than Your Thoughts" ~ Isaiah 55:9.

Broken & Beautiful is my Favorite Song that touches my heart the most!  It is so a part of my brokenness and personal life that this is the song of all songs to me personally.  The lyrics are real and I pray that other's will be touched by this extremely heartfelt song.  Not only is the Forever Holy CD focused on Eternity, it is also focused on brokenness and human frailties.  God is always faithful of coming through because of His perfect Grace, Love & Mercy.  I could go on and talk about those who have hurt me intentionally and all that sort of stuff, but what I have been learning is that the battle is not mine, but the Lord's ---- He said so! (2 Chronicles 20:15.......This is what the LORD says to you: 'Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's'.)

A Pastor once said, "If it is not broke, it needs to be broken".  What the Pasotor is saying; if we are not broken of anything that is not good in our lives, it needs to be broke.  When we are broken, and the same goes for me in this Christian life...... God is taking out all of the junk, the ugly, old ways of our thinking and etc and replacing it with all of God's goodness, His ways of thinking, filling us with His love and taking us higher in Him.  More of Him and less of ourselves.

Jesus is the only one who can take a broken, shattered life and mend every piece back together and making it brand new compared to what it was before.  That is what Jesus has done for me.  He took this broken, shattered mess and has re-molded this vessel into His beautiful image.  I am still going from glory to glory and will continue until I am with Him.  These lyrical lines touches my heart the most.

On the radio sometime ago, I heard Dr. James Dobson talking about the dangers of breaking a child's spirit.  He went on sharing that it is good to break their will, but NOT their fragile spirit's .  I said to God that is me! Jesus, that is me!  I am your child and that is how I feel ----- I feel my spirit is being crushed and I cannot take it!  I can deal with the breaking of my will thing, but not my spirit being broken and that is what is happening to me from my enemies, Lord!

Broken & Beautiful was inspired from Dr. Dobson's message and God ministered to me while writing the lyrics for my own personal healing for a long length of time. He has shown me so many things in my life in how to deal with the situations that I have gone and grown through AND preparing for the next trials coming my way.  Giving me strength to forgive those who are the hardest to forgive; God absolutely showed me true freedom through the healing of forgivenes.

There is true beauty in the breaking and I encourage you that anything broken, only God can mend all those shattered pieces together.  He makes all things new!
